Ambiq Micro, a new startup company based on microchip technology that has been in development for the past six years at U-M, has been attracting the attention of potential investors at recent business plan competitions.

Ambiq competed against 42 teams from around the world, pitching their technology business plans to more micto judges. From that spark, Hanson helped develop a technology ideally suited for very small devices with a wide range of potential applications.
